Is it bad that I just pictured Kyosuke in a dress?

Based on one of the images I saw. You are far more normal than the one who drew female Kyouske.

I hear it's a combination of a throwback to Hero Senki and Great Battle, with an Action RPG system. Should be quite promising.

So... They used a cowboy version of Sanger for the Browning role isntead of a male Excellen?... That was... Unexpected...

Harken Browning actually looks like a manchild of  Zengar and Elzam with those Trombe™ clothes & twin guns.

Kaguya Nanbu doesn't look anything like the female version of Kyo, more like Ibis with a breast implant.

The green haired android is obviously product of a union between Ialdabaoth and Lamia, even her theme is Code ATA.

The man child bit... Very scary thought... Though I'm pretty sure there are two breasts ther Eater, not just one.

Eh?
Uh...
"Kaguya Nanbu doesn't look anything like the female version of Kyo, more like Ibis with breast implant[s]."

I just hope that there are more than 4 playable characters in this game.

meh, I'd have to put up negative five bucks on no, we all know how corporate translation teams are over here, either they butcher it or pick it appart for every flaw that they think will rape the minds of children, even if some of the games aren't meant for children.

Atlus says hello.

Many times.

In the face.

Anyhow, I'd say this has a chance of making it. It's a handheld SRW Originals game, and Atlus already did OG1 and OG2...

Title: Re: Mugen no Frontier: Super Robot Taisen OG
Post by: Dsvaun on January 19, 2008, 12:31:07 PM
Atlus has stated that they won't translate any more of the games in the series since they didn't sell as great as they wanted them to.  Which isn't suprising because they make NO effort to advertise the games and they only give game stores two and a half copies of the games.  I probably wouldn't have known about Persona 3 if this site hadn't introduced me to the Shin Megami Tensei series.  Even then, I had to go store to store just to find one copy.  In addition, theres the merger between Banpresto's game department and Bandai Namco.  If anyone has a chance of bringing it over, it will have to be Bandai.

By the way, are we betting on whether they will make a decent translation or just a translation?

Yes. Because we still live in the late 80s/early 90s under Nintendo's censorship rules.

They did? :(
Last I'd heard they were still refusing to comment.

Personaly, I'm wondering more about the red Weiss. But yeah... This is part of why I bet on no... Because nintendo is an ass over here, I mean really, it's like ALL of their games must be marked E or they won't do it... But yeah, the bit with "Lamia's" outfit vanishing might hurt our chances abit... Might as well begin picketing early *Holds up a sign* TEA AND CAKE OR DEATH! TEA AND CAKE OR DEATH! LITTLE RED COOK BOOK! LITTLE RED COOK BOOK!

I have a few T rated DS games, so there is small bit of hope. As for the picketing, you're not trying hard enough. *Goes to steal Valzacard, makes an appropriately large sign, then joins the picket line.*

Ummm... This isn't the 90s anymore.

The GBA SRW games were T. So were the Castlevania games.

And over on GameCube... Nintendo themselves released several T games. FZero, Metroid Prime, Star Fox Assault...
Resident Evil 4 was M.
And while not a great piece of software, there was only ONE platform with an uncensored version of BMX XXX. I'll give you three guesses which one it was. Your hints are "it wasn't PS2" and "it wasn't XBox."

Let the "LOL KIDDIE GAEMS!111" argument die already.

Don't forget Eternal Darkness. It was exclusive to the GCN, and M Rated.

And what about that "Dementium" DS game? Wasn't that rated M?

I think we don't have to worry about nintendo.  The real question is will some one be willing to translate this?

I think it's possible but I not holding my breath.

It's a fact.  Bandai is buying up every company related to robots.  My only question is: How long do we have to wait until they buy enough damn licenses to bring games like SRW Alpha over here?

Speaking of NamcoXCapcom, I saw on Romhacking.net that the group translating it is doing betatesting.  Application is open until Feb 7th.

Hell, I didn't even know someone was translating it, never mind the script being complete.

See: Tales of Phantasia.
They sit on it for over a decade because american audiences aren't intelligent enough to enjoy it, then throw a 3-year-old GBA port at us and act like they're god's gift to gaming because they gave us a dated and half-assed GameBoy game.

Your probably right.  There's no way in hell they would possibly release a game with gundams that's GOOD.  Hell, if that happens they might actually make money for once.  Of course we all know that will never happen.

Niche games with lots of liscensing issues FTL. If you want to make money, go elsewhere. >_>
