Roughly two years ago I got it into my head that it would be fun to see the five main Compati Hero games (SD Great Battle 1-5) done and released all at the same time. SRW OG: The Moon Dwellers had released earlier that year - in English no less - and SDGB seemed like they would be good/important from a historical perspective. Hero Chronicle joined that list shortly thereafter.

The translation is fully complete and without any known issues. Enjoy!

Hi all, just dropping a quick note to say that Super Robot Wars 4´s script retranslation has completed. It still needs editing and there are still 25 or so technical issues open in my task tracker (most of which involve tidying up menus) so there´s still quite a bit left to do, but this is still a major milestone!

Hero Chronicle has reached a fairly major milestone, with very nearly all of the menu work now being done. There are a handful of tickets I´ve opened on my bug and task tracker; updates to those tickets, as usual, will be mirrored to the Discord server as they happen. I´ve handed the game off for editing and expect primary beta testing to begin in another couple of months. I´ve added a few snapshots to the game´s slideshow as well.

Hi everyone, I´m just dropping a note here about where SRW4 is and where it´s going. Zenki and I made quite a lot of progress early in the year - we´re both at roughly the 2/3s mark for hacking and translation - but we´ve both also stalled out since to external obligations, so it´s going a little bit more slowly than I´d hoped. In the meantime, I´m attaching a few screenshots of current progress on name entry. It´s mostly done; I´ve expanded character name input out to 10 characters per name instead of 6, and robot name input out to 12.

From those, SRW Alpha is the one I want the most. As long as the projects won't get dropped, I don't mind taking years to finish these games. I love SRW, so much that I'm currently playing the translated Elemental Lords for SNES along with the japanese one for DS for enhanced graphics. Once I finish these, I'll to do the same with EX for SNES and PSX :D

(I mean, from whoever owns the copyright, not necessarily Gideon)
This is a big if, this Polymega and its add-ons ever get released (it's sounding pretty vaporware to me), they have announced pack-in games for each of the cartridge add-ons.
One of them announced for the SNES one is Gourmet Warriors, which is surely Barayarou. I wonder if it is licensed or not. I know Play-Asia is selling reprints of the original, and they usually do sell legit stuff so I wonder if that was as well (these are few enough that it's possible someone went to the effort of licensing them.)

It´s been six months to the day since AGTP released the translation patch for Super Robot Wars EX; today, a patch releases for Super Robot Wars 3 that brings it up to the standard set by EX. This is a dramatic improvement over the patch released at the end of 2002 in nearly every sense, technically, linguistically, and aesthetically. The bad names have been fixed, the translation has been doublechecked, and the game has been completely re-hacked from the ground up using the code written for SRW EX.

The new release is complete and should be issue-free; enjoy!

The new version of the Super Robot Wars 3 translation has recently entered private betatesting. The screenshot slideshow on the project´s page has been updated to reflect progress on the new version, but be advised that this new version is not publicly available yet.
