BK is always here (one of the good things about having a player who isn't around)

we'll be there in about ten minutes suit up and get ready to launch

Andrew have they breached the outer barrier yet?

Not yet. It's primarily a siege right now, but that can change at any minute. It seems to be mainly a force of Lion based units, but there are a few that they don't recognize.

From what I can recognize from the photos that they sent, some of those machines are the same ones that attacked us at the training ground.

*beeping goes off

huh?

Kina: For some reason the anima is unstable and we can't use the X-techniques because of it.

How odd... we will just have to make do with out them.

Ah, one of the things I like best about the R-3 is that you can take targets down from so far away. I think we should cause a little chaos in their rear lines. Any other suggestions?

Dynames likes sniping too.

*Dynames takes aim and fires it's rifle hitting several lions*

they really have bunched too close together for their own good and we came up right on their flank; this is too good an opportunity to miss.

Hey someone get the Virtue out.

*Dynames resumes sniping Lions*

Wahoo! T-Link Missiles, maximum area!

I've got my Strike Swords harassing the frontal forces as well - they'll be occupied for a little while at least.

CHAOSTIC!!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?

*Dynames picks up an odd looking gun and flies towards the R-3 and Valhawk*

hold him still Ian I'll take care of him....

*the Dynames takes aim and fires; a rod attached to a cord flies out the gun and turns into a claw which grabs onto part of the Valhawk*

you can let go now.

*as the R-3 jerks free electricity pulses through the wire stunning it and the cord is pulled in by a wench*

I'll take him back to the ship and return in the Virtue

Ow... my head...

Y'know what? I'll take him back. He knocked my T-Link receptors out of calibration, and he's got a major Vulcan Neck Pinch coming his way for that. Until then, I've got the IWSP Strike loaded up as backup until the mechies can get the TK system upright.

Pray we don't have to use SRX soon.

Meanwhile, back on the Moon...

*Jaybee steps out of an office*
Man, that is a LOT of paperwork...and I'm not even done yet!
If I'd known Britai was gonna stick me with all the red tape, I may've skipped the party.

*He walks around the port, seemingly aimlessly, but with a destination in mind. Ducking into a mechanic bay, he finds his destination*

I thought I might find you here, doctor.

Radom: "Have you come to mock my designs more? Because I have better things to do."

Actually, I came to say thank you. I was talking to some of the hanger crews, and they said you were helping patch up damaged mechs and reload the weapons during that last battle.

"Well, one does what they must."

Indeed. I also gather you're a large part of why that nuclear lance didn't backfire and kill us all.

"I told them to keep quiet about that."

You didn't want credit? Tough. You're a hero now.
*Jaybee passes over a UNSpacey medal box. Radom takes it hesitantly.*

"Is this some kind of joke?"

No, ma'am.
Actually.... darn near everyone involved in the campaign's getting some sort of medal from someone. Was just too much heroism going around to not give 'em out like popcorn.
That's part of the paperwork I've been plowing through while the rest of the AGGF is off blowing stuff up. It's embarassing, really.

"It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. I think I've got some of my own to file before we leave."

The Hiryu and Hagane are leaving today, aren't they?

"Indeed. I think that might be my cue to get started."

Then I guess I'll see you around. I just wanted to drop the medal off.

"Why mine and no one else's?"

Huh?

"Why me? Surely you didn't just get one medal in. And don't think I believe for a second that you'd rather see me than Ryusei or Tasuku or... anyone else. "

Because I think you've got the wrong impression here. I've got a lot of respect for your mecha designs.

"No you don't. I didn't design the Wildraubtier."

Oh. I was thinking of the 'Wurger and Falken, I bet. The Raubtier was... OH.
I ... honestly can't believe I said that.

"You did."

I believe I owe you a VERY large apology.

"You do."

Does it help if I think the Gespenst 3 is a very impressive design?

"Not really. It helps that you called it a Gespenst 3, though."

*Jaybee smiles, briefly*

Honestly, I'm not sure how they could scrap it for cost issues, then approve the Huckebein for mass production.

"Because the Huckebein 2 is cheap without all the overtech they piled onto the prototype. But you get what you pay for."

True. The Federation seems especially bad about cheaping out on hardware.

"So... you know they're telling some crazy stories about you. Claiming you kept a tronium reactor balanced on the edge of detonation for an entire fight."

Eh-heh.... actually, I did.

*Radom blinks a few times*
"You're insane, aren't you?"

The Balmarians had made exact duplicates of all our machines, and tjhe pilots were programmed with a disturbing amount of data fromour own battles. I knew I could do it, and it gave me an edge over my clone.

"So... is the part with the T-Link true too?"

Yup.
THAT was a bit excessive. But it worked, and that's the important part..

*Radom smiles*
"I think I like you."

Good!
I really DO have a mountain of paperwork left to fill out, so I better get going.
Tell everyone I said hi.

"Will do."

Roger that. Strike's battery has been getting low, and I just received word that R-3's T-Link system is lined up again.

We're going to enter that Rhino as it should be the command unit.

I plan to talk to their leader personally...
