Ah, there we go! If anybody needs to use the Physalis after the big gun's used up, I've got a missile system and beam bazooka ready to switch out. Now to tune up the R-3...

Ok looks like its time to test the R-Guns new weapon I had the guys install.

Ianator when you done let Andrew know that the parts for the StrikeE will be ready next month and that the R-1 is prepped and ready

Sure thing, Boss. Seems the Strike's become popular lately. Glad I thought of it...

The StrikeE parts are almost done? What would those parts do again?

My current inventory is: One transforming katana, one flight suit, one Caster, various Caster shells, one gallant (including stock and barrel) and an optimistic attitude.

The Strike Enhanced, along with having more awesomer black Phase Shift armor, is compatible with the Noir Striker pack, thus becoming (dun dun dun~) the Strike Noir.

When do we leave? This waiting game seems to be annoying and the longer we wait the harder it will be for us to win.

Things can always get worse...

They appear to have stopped moving into place. Enemy forces now number around 4500-5000. It looks to me like they're mainly grouped into three large divisions of 1500 each, with the remainder in small groups that are filling in the gaps. Classic three prong strategy. Those "joints" will be the weakspots, if you're looking to break straight through. Get caught up in them, though, and you're liable to be hit from both sides by the larger groups.

"It looks like a Cyflash or two could make a pretty nice hole in one of them, big enough for at least a few guys to make it through unbothered."

Yeah, but leaving that sort of escort duty just on your shoulders would be leaving you out in the cold, so to speak. You're good, Masaki, but not even you can just toss off two Cyflashes in a row and just dash away like it's nothing.

"The option's open, though. That's what I'm saying."

Duly noted, and we appreciate the volunteering. Anyone else got any ideas?

you know one of the best features of PS armor is the fact that colors can be changed anytime thanks the onboard systems

How many wide-area weapons do we have? I though we had a Giganscudo somewhere. The FAZZ should have plenty of WMDs on board, and my R-3 Powered can hit a pretty big area with its T-Link Missiles.

In a gear, I can hit a wide area with my ether abilities.

Against bugs, we can probably count just about any UNS style missile swarm as a large area attack. It really doesn't take a lot to kill those things.

"Hmmm... it almost seems like they're waiting for us to move."

It does, doesn't it, admiral?

All clumped together like that, too...
They either WANT us to do this, or they've forgotten what a zentradi command ship is capable of in the years since they last fought your people.

"Well, let's jog their memory a little. I haven't had a chance to do this since we stole that factory satellite back in 2011."
*The Death Pickle advances to the front of the fleet*
"All cannons! Open fire!"

*Countless beams rip out from the ship, flooding the space in front of it with energetic death as effectively as if the bow contained a single much larger cannon*

"Report! ... Very good.
Gentlemen, it appears the enemy count now stands at three thousand instead of five. And there's a corridor straight to the Black Star through area R-Delta. No need to thank me, though I would recommend launching soon to take advantage of it. I believe it would be in everyone's best interest if I stayed here and kept the enemy occupied during your incursion. Don't worry, I brought my own defenses. Godspeed, my friends.
Gnerl, Reguld, Thunderbolt squadrons, launch! QRau, NousGer, Sturmvogel teams, standby! "
*Britai turns to the tactical screen and begins barking orders as the comm channel closes*

Well, I think that answers the question of who's going to be opening the gap...
Geez, where did he find all those pilots? He must have had every unmicronized zentradi in the system on his ship.
*Jaybee checks the IFF scans*
Zentradi mercs. Of course. The promise of a battle this large would be enough to bring them all here even without a paycheck.
I was actually starting to wonder why we hadn't seen any yet.

Get the Huckebein ready for launch!
"And the Giganscudo!"
Mike?
"I'm not letting you have all the fun! Carol, you have the bridge!"

All rightie, then. All hands, man your battlestations! Pilots, launch immediatly!

APPRIVOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I'm not one to miss opportunity when it knocks. Bright, get into position and start letting them have it.

"About time. I'll stay close to the ship and keep it covered."

'Preciate it, Quattro. Let's go, gang!

"Alright!"

"With you all the way, Derek-sama!"

Shining Gundam, launching!

"Cybuster, launching!"

"Fei-chan, launching!"

HIYA!

*The Huckebein slashes a few bugs up*

"Gigaaaaa BLAAAASTEEEEER!!!!!!!!!!"

*A few more bugs go down*

Mike, you're having too much fun. CHAKRAM SHOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Another bug blows up*

But watch your energy usage. Gigan there eats capacitor charge  like popcorn if you aren't careful, and we've got a long fight ahead of us.

"What sort of rookie do you take m-... oh.  I see what you mean."

Right. Just be careful is all I'm saying.

"Gotcha! SIEZE SHIELDS!"
