A carrier sails in, escorted by a lone fighter

Jaybee here. We have a ship!
I still have no idea what kind. Carriers just aren't my thing.
I'm sure Derek can tell you after he lands this sucker and gets it locked down.

Perhaps interestingly, we have the bridge crew in the brig.
I doubt they actually KNOW anything, but it never hurts to check.

I almost felt sorry for all the cannon fodder we mowed through.  Almost.
They weren't ready for a fight. Their pilots must've been fresh out of training. I doubt they had an hour of combat experience across the entire squad.

It was downright comical once Derek got in and took over the computer. He turned the functional anti-mech weapons on the remaining Zakus(there wasn't a singled Defender left at that point), and everyone just flat-out panicked.

About a dozen just dropped their guns and ran... four of them into each other.

A couple of them just FROZE. I think they were trying to figure out how to turn a heat axe into a white flag.

I think there were only three of them kept cool enough to figure out that their ship was no longer their's AND remembered I was still shooting at them.

I intend to burn the visual sensor logs to a DVD, if anyone's interested.

Well gang, in case it isn't obvious yet from the ship design, we're now the proud owners of our very own Argama. And if I knew why an Argama was setting up at a base almost entirely defended by Zakus, I'd tell you. Either way, it's ours.

Also, I should note since JayBee didn't clarify, that aside from the first two or three warning shots to make them panic, I didn't bother to shoot any of those kids. No honor in killing such ill-prepared children, and besides, it was funnier to watch their reactions.

We DID hold them all at gunpoint, strip them of their weaponry and equipment, and put them on a shuttle headed way the hell out of our way, though. All the surrendered Zakus and gear are sitting in the cargo bay, waiting to be disassembled for parts or whatever we're gonna do with them.

The other Monster, 'Scythe, and Alex are already loaded in and ready for 'Vaun to get in there and do his thing with them, and the other troop transports are ready to either be loaded or unloaded as we need.

So, let's get this party started!

All right, we should repair all our units first. We should also see what the bridge crew of the Argama know. Who's going down to talk to them?

I'll put the Alex together first of all since it seems like they did most of the work already.  After that I'll upgrade Deathscythe and try to start on the Double X.  I'll start on the FAZZ for Corsair unless I come up with something else.

Most likely I will.

I've got all the base systems up and running so right now we are the proud owners of a small base and Argama class space battleship (It needs a name)

Good work all

right now I nthink it would be prudent to split our supplies between the base and Battleship.  I believe the enemy will not stand by after our attack so we need to expect an attack rather soon (and a big one at that)

Might as well do this, then.

*Sets up a table in the lounge with a clipboard and empty list paper with a notice nearby that says "NAME DRIVE: Please help give our home a name! Cool ideas only, please."*

I'll start. We could try calling it the Pantheon. What'cha guys think?

Also, I'd like to see them try for coming up with a big enough force that we wouldn't spot LONG before they'd be within attacking range of us.

That reminds me. Can we get an updated roster list, Commander?

It will take a while for the chaos from the take-over/move-in to die down

so it will either be tomorrow or Monday before I can give you guys a status report

by the way My suggestion for the name is "Valiant"

It means I looked at my desk, saw a Duracell battery, saw my copy of Ehrgeiz, and did some verbal alchemy. =P

Although if anything, it sounds like a more fitting name for the Argama class cruiser.

It really does. And I thought of Ehrgeiz when I heard it, too.

I vote on The Durageiz.

It's a original name at least...
