Ditto. I'm starting to get used to this Exia way faster than I thought I would.

Will you be returning to the R-3 when I get the R-1 back?

Probably. It all depends on what works best for the mission.

Thank you all

I think the 6 of us should be enough

I've found the routes and I know how they are transporting the gas

Bask doesn't want undue attention so he's sending the G3 by land in Samsons with a small escort (maybe a dozen MS per transport)

I've gotten a hold of some neutralizing agent but it can only be used before G3 is exposed to air

they enemy may have orders to use the G3 if they see fit; while we would most likely be fine in our mechs I'd rather not see the kind of damage G3 can do to the environment

we'll pair off into teams and take the transports Wednesday evening

Alright. Can you give us the information regarding the routes? I know of a few areas in this region that we could set our ambushes at. Not to mention, at least one of the potential ways to go has a bridge on it at one point. That's an easy bottleneck spot right there.

Derek's right, the easeist way to win is to force them to go the route that we want them to go. After that, it's child's play in battle.

I've already sent the data to each of you

I picked your teams and target transports to save time
Derek and  Andrew (NE transport)
Jaybee and Ianator (NW transport)
myself and Dsvaun (N transport)

I think it might be best for each team to come up with it's own plan of attack

'vaun if you have any ideas feel free to let me know

The northeast route....

Good. That's the one that follows and then crosses the Teliza River at a couple of points. If I remember this correctly, there's one point where the road crosses onto one side due to a collapsed area, then crosses right back over after a grand hundred feet once that collapsed part ends. Absolutely perfect place for an ambush.

C'mon, Andrew. Let's go see what we can do to make the bridges collapsing look accidental.

Gundam Deathscythe, launching.

Hmmm.... pity my first response to most situations is nuke it from orbit.

Looks like there's a canyon along the northwest route. Seems to be a dry riverbed in there.
If I were trying to slip something through un-noticed, that's certainly where I'd be driving.

...

Ianator, how good are you at controlled demolition?
I'd like to drop a large rock slide in the canyon now. Preferably if you can make it look natural(no scorch marks).

When they reach it, they'll have to stop. That's when we drop a second one behind them. Then leap into the cage with them.

I assume with only a dozen escort mechs that he's bringing the big guns. We hit 'em hard and fast, take 'em down before they get their bearings.

A task made hader by the big poison gas tank in the middle of it all. I can't just rain missiles down. :(

We'll split 'em up. One of us takes the guys in front, the other hits the rear.

Sound like a plan?

Controlled demolitions... one of my favorite pastimes. I lie the way this looks. I just hope it turns out at least this good.

Dsvaun, I think our best bet is to take them in Casine Valley it is very narrow at one point. I don't plan on causing a landslide or anything but rather a simple surprise  attack from above.

We'll attack from above and take them out fast then I'll move in and kill the truck crew if they resist (I'm actually hoping none of the crews know what they are carrying, a distinct possibility with Bask)

Before I forget once the gas is secure you are free to take anything of value from the truck

Well, looks like all three of us have the same sort of idea.

The bridges on my side look absurdly easy to take care of. I even had a chat with Haruka on the way back last night, and she said there had been some kind of plans to scrap the things and build some new ones in that area in the works anyway, so there aren't any problems with us getting started on the demolitions part.

I've got a few more things to take care of on my end for this, so I'm gonna take the rest of the day off to do so. I'll be back in time for the op tomorrow.

I've found some smoke dischargers and I'll be using some in my attack (I've equipped Dsvaun's and my mech with heat based targeting systems)

if you want some just ask

I think our rockslide oughta make enough dust that we don't really need smoke.
...
But some flares could leave them with the wrong impression of our location for a little while, if we do things right. Thanks for the idea!

*grabs a bunch from the armory, drops a few near Ianator's mech*

We'll lob 'em down after we drop the second rockslide, right after a chaff cartridge to scramble their radar. Between the dust and chaff, they'll probably be limited to IR imaging. The flares will look like nice shiny maneuvering rockets. :)
And then we'll dive in and bust some heads while they're trying to blast the flares.
