What kind of non-anime Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Adventure/whatever shows do you like? I'm talking stuff like Doctor Who or MST3K, both of which I like.

I'm a big fan of The Prisoner. Dr. Who is fun when it's occasionally on, but its production values make me fear for the new version of The Prisoner that the BBC's producing. (Although Ian McKellen as No.2... droooool.) I'm also big on Firefly, 'cuz it's a little different from the typical sci-fi slosh that gets bandied about.

I love Doctor Who, and this latest series has been excellent, pretty much. Great ending too.

Blake 7, (the parts with Aron and Servaloa at least), the Prisoner, the Avengers, Red Dwarf, Hyperdrive was better than people gave it credit for, and of course the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

WOAH, whowhatwhereandtheprisonerremake? Mein gott, that's news to me.

Anyway, a thousand shames on this thread for hitting the Avengers before Quantum Leap (bestest sci-fi show EVER).

I loved Hyperdrive, even though it was The Office in space with Nick Frost. Actually, that was pretty much why liked it....

Journeyman was also great, insofar as it being Quantum Leap 2 - Electric Boogaloo. Too bad it was canceled fifty seasons early.

Well, to get the standard ones out of the way:
Firefly, Bablyon 5, battlestar galactica, red dwarf.

I also really enjoyed S1 of war of the worlds, but S2 was horrible (I might be a bit biased here, as i watched WOTW when i was ~7 years old).

But the best sci-fi is in book format.

Quite a few Dwarfers on here. Frankly, I'm pleasantly surprised.
